Lieutenant Jason Johnson

About Me:  Lt. Johnson has worked in emergency services for over 25 years and has a broad knowledge of emergency managementIMG_0021-225x300 systems and operations. He has worked in various emergency management roles such as a Police Officer, Paramedic, and Firefighter. In addition to serving as a Lieutenant and EMT for Pennfield, he is currently on the Battle Creek Community Emergency Response Team where he holds the position of the program manager, The Michigan Search and rescue K9 Team, for which he has taught human and K9 wilderness first aid and land navigation, and serves as a FEMA Certified Communications Specialist for MI-TF1, Michigan Urban Search and Rescue Team. Jason is also a Stop The Bleed Instructor teaching skills to the public and professionals alike in the treatment of life-threatening bleeding injuries. Other interests include Amateur(HAM) radio, Information Technology, and spending time outdoors.

Certifications:  Firefighter I & II, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, EMT-B, Drivers Certification (FM 123), IS-00100, IS-00200, and IS-00700. Jason has continued education in Natural Gas Emergencies and Ice Rescue.
